My first art event back in my hometown! I grew up passing by this old mansion and always wondering about its history, so I was excited to spend an afternoon in its backyard. I even got a private tour after the Art & Wine Stroll ended. The interior of the house was absolutely gorgeous, even the parts that were being remodeled. The house, which was built back in the very early 1900s, had a great deal of hand carved wood accents on the staircase and doorways. Apparently the owner was a skilled woodworker. Walking through his masterpiece, knowing he made it more than a hundred years ago, was like being in a fairy tale - right up my alley!
